What we hold and why

To run the marketplace we hold your name and contact details, your orders, jobs, messages and reviews, and for companies their business and tax details. We share a customer's contact details with a company or tradesperson only when the customer orders from them or they do a job for them; you can see who received your details on your Privacy page.

How long we keep it

Money records (orders, payments, tax records) are kept for 6 years because HMRC requires it. Other data is kept while your account is open, and less where we can.

Your rights

You can download your data and ask for your account to be deleted from Your privacy in your account. We answer within a month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
